These are traditional stainless-steel iron training rings for Southern Chinese martial arts such as Hung Ga Kuen and Wing Chun, used on the wrists and forearms to add weight and impact for strength and conditioning drills.

Product overview

  • Solid stainless-steel forearm and wrist rings designed for traditional kung fu strength and conditioning, including Hung Gar, Wing Chun, Choy Li Fut and related styles.

  • Used by sliding multiple rings onto each arm so they move and collide during techniques, increasing resistance and conditioning muscles, tendons, skin and bone along the forearm and wrist.

Training benefits

  • Develops forearm, wrist, upper arm and shoulder strength while performing forms, stance work and striking drills, similar to using mobile wrist weights.

  • Helps improve structure, endurance and focus by keeping the elbows in, maintaining correct hand position and feeling constant pressure on the bridges during Wing Chun-style training.

Usage notes

  • Commonly worn in sets of 4 or more rings, progressing in number and weight as strength and conditioning improve.
